Hello fellow human being or god, or even creature. I am Kate and I have the Sense. The Sense is what my ability is. It enhances my fighting so would you like a challenge? I warn you though, you may get hurt in some manner.

ABILITY

The sense is a hard ability to explain. Kate could close her eyes and still see the shape of everything around her. She cannot see colours but the shapes of objects and people. It’s been of use but then her sense started to grow and it has been since she was twelve. Kate started to see things in a large radius which still gives her head spins. If it wasn’t for her actual sight she would have an even harder time trying to focus her vision.

Two years ago when she was but sixteen, she heard a voice inside her mind. It was during high school and the voice of a girl, calling Kate something she didn’t really like. Kate was so confused, she had been watching the girl and suddenly she heard her voice in her head like it was her own thought. Since then she hasn’t been able to block others thoughts out. She hears things about herself from them which makes her incredibly insecure most of the time but it has been of more use. Kate had been approached by a robber but she knew he was coming. Granted, she knew exactly what he was going to do but she still couldn’t do much to stop it. It was after that she decided to train, she approached SHIELD. She had heard of them through a friend talking about Iron Man, so she made her way through their security systems without getting caught and talked to Director Fury. She knew she could trust him just by the thoughts she received from him when she first stepped into his office. She explained her ability, everything she knew about it and he agreed to help her and train her to her surprise.

Katelyn hides the fact she can read people’s mind because it’s really only partly true. The sense only let’s her read peoples mind when they’re thinking about her specifically and if people knew she could do this then she would never get close friends or family. She can’t go through your mind searching for thoughts, she can only hear the thoughts you think normally. It would be too hard for her to make friendships if they knew of this part of her ability, she only told Fury because she thought it was necessary but even now she can feel how he tries to shield his thoughts away from her.

Her ability is still growing, she discovers new things every now and then but it isn’t completely regular. Kate always challenges herself, slowly she’s trying to get herself to train with SHEILD master assassins as opponents.
